David Ugolor

African Network for Environmental and Economic Justice (Nigeria), Direktor

Rev. David Ugolor was born on February 2, 1970 in Nigeria.

Now the president of the African Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ), he has done extensive work on the Debt and Corruption issue. Presently he facilitates the Publish What You Pay (pwyp) Nigeria Campaign, a campaign of a coalition of over 200 NGOs worldwide calling for the mandatory disclosure of the payments made by oil, gas and mining companies to all governments for the extraction of natural resources. This he sees as a necessary first step towards a more accountable system for the management of natural resource revenues in resource-rich developing countries.

He also coordinates ANEEJ's project titled "Public Eye on Oil Revenue" in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria and also supervised ANEEJ Report titled "Oil of Poverty in the Niger Delta".
